Add a Company

Create a new company profile on your job board so you can link jobs to it.

A company profile is a public page that shows the employer's name, logo, description, and all their open positions. Every job on your board links to a company, so creating the profile is the first step before posting jobs for that employer.

Well-crafted company profiles do two things: they help candidates research employers before applying (which improves application quality), and they create indexable pages that rank for "[Company Name] jobs" searches (which drives organic traffic to your board).

Add a company

  1. Click Companies in the sidebar
  2. Click Add company
  3. Fill in the fields below
  4. Click Add company to save

Company fields

Company name (required)

The official company name as it should appear on your board. Max 120 characters.

Website (optional but recommended)

The company's website URL. This field powers automatic enrichment: when you enter a URL, Cavuno fetches the company logo from that domain and fills in missing profile fields from public sources (see Automatic enrichment below). The website also appears as a link on the public company profile.

Summary (optional)

A one-sentence tagline that appears in company listings and search results. Max 280 characters. Think of this as the company's elevator pitch.

Logo (optional but recommended)

The company logo appears on job listings, the employer directory, and the company profile page. Use a square image (minimum 200x200px) in JPEG, PNG, WebP, or GIF format. If you entered a website URL, Cavuno typically fetches the logo for you automatically.

Description (optional)

A detailed company overview using the rich text editor. Max 25,000 characters. Help candidates understand what the company does, its culture, and why they should want to work there. Include the industry, key products or services, and anything that makes the company stand out.

Add the company's social profiles: X profile, LinkedIn, and Facebook. These appear on the public company profile page and help candidates verify the employer is legitimate.

Automatically add jobs (conditional)

If the company has a website, you can check Automatically add jobs from this company to enable job backfilling. Cavuno will monitor the company's careers page and import new job listings automatically. See Configure backfill for details.

Automatic enrichment

When you add a company with a website URL, Cavuno automatically enriches the profile using public data. This saves you from manually researching and entering details for every employer on your board.

Enrichment fills in any fields you leave empty:

Logo: fetched directly from the company's website domain.

Summary: a short tagline describing what the company does.

Description: a detailed company overview suitable for the profile page.

Social links: LinkedIn, X (Twitter), and Facebook profile URLs.

Enrichment only fills empty fields. If you've already written a custom summary or description, Cavuno won't overwrite it. You can edit any enriched field afterward, and re-triggering enrichment by updating the website URL will only fill fields that are still empty.

For boards with hundreds of companies (common when using backfill), automatic enrichment means every company profile has a logo, description, and social links without any manual effort.

Bulk import

To add many companies at once, use CSV import:

  1. Click Companies in the sidebar
  2. Click Import
  3. Upload a CSV file with columns: name (required), is_published (required), and optionally site_url, logo_url, tagline, description_html, twitter_handle, linkedin_url, facebook_url

The import runs in the background. You'll see a confirmation with the count of imported and skipped companies.

After creating a company

The company gets a public profile page at yourboard.com/companies/[company-slug]. The slug is generated automatically from the company name. Candidates can browse to this page from the employer directory, and it's linked from every job posted under that company.
