Enable Candidate Profiles

Let job seekers create accounts and build profiles on your board.

What are candidate profiles?

Candidate profiles let job seekers create accounts on your board. Once signed in, they can build a profile with their experience, skills, and preferences, and save jobs to a private dashboard.

Enabling candidate profiles is also a prerequisite for the registration wall and talent directory features.

Enable candidate profiles

Candidate profiles are enabled by default on new boards. If you have disabled them, you can re-enable them:

  1. Go to Board settings in the sidebar.
  2. On the General tab, scroll to the Candidate profiles toggle.
  3. Toggle it on.

The setting saves instantly. Once enabled, your board will show sign-in and sign-up options for job seekers. Candidates can create accounts using email and password, magic link (passwordless email), or Google OAuth.

What candidates can do

Signed-in candidates get access to:

  • Profile: Add experience, education, skills, languages, and a headline.
  • Saved jobs: Bookmark jobs and return to them later.
  • Job alerts: Manage alert preferences from their dashboard.
  • Profile visibility: Control whether their profile is public, visible to logged-in users only, or hidden.

Access candidate data

When candidates sign up, they appear in your Candidates section in the dashboard sidebar. From there you can view all registered candidates, search by name or email, see when they signed up, and delete candidates if needed.

Disable candidate profiles

Toggle Candidate profiles off in board settings. This hides sign-in and profile options from your board. Existing candidate data is preserved. If you re-enable the feature, candidates can sign in again.

Disabling candidate profiles also automatically disables the registration wall since it depends on candidate accounts.
